Minimum viewing equipment: telescope Acrux is the brightest star in Crux. It is also a double star formed by a 1.4 and a 1.9 stars, separated by 4.4 arcseconds. You can split them using at least a 75mm telescope with high magnification. Note: This is an extended exposure picture taken with specialised equipment and is likely different from what can be seen through an ordinary telescope. |
