M33 - Pinwheel Galaxy |
![]() ![]() |
Minimum viewing equipment: binoculars M33 is a spiral galaxy, 5.5 magnitude. Is difficult to see because it is spread over a large area of the sky. It appears as a light cloud in binoculars, but you need at least an 8 inch telescope with a wide field eye-piece to see details, including its diffuse twisting arms. Note: This is an extended exposure picture taken with specialised equipment and is likely different from what can be seen through an ordinary telescope. |
