![]() ![]() |
Minimum viewing equipment: unaided eye Andrmeda Galaxy is the most distant object that can be viewed with the naked eye. Andromeda is a very similar galaxy with our local galaxy (the Milky Way) and is 2,200,0000 light-years away. Due to light polution, city observers need a pair of binoculars to view Andromeda. Note: This is an extended exposure picture taken with specialised equipment and is likely different from what can be seen through an ordinary telescope. |
